Because these are engraved into the white layer, off-angle viewing can sometimes be very hard to read. Color filling the engraving will greatly enhance the readability of the text. Let me know if you prefer the text to be color filled in white by adding a note in the special instructions area.

I have no idea how it compares to a Gibson Historic or a real vintage Gibson truss rod cover, but it looks great on my 2016 Les Paul Traditional! The shape and the bevel are very different from Gibson USA covers. I really dig it.
