The GOTOH MG-T uses an intuitive rear-mounted thumbwheel locking mechanism for fast string changes.
Locking tuning machines should use a shorter post than non-locking tuning machines. The string posts are about 1/16" (2-3mm) shorter so you will have the proper downward pressure at the nut for increased tuning stability.

A direct drop-in for my Ibanez Prestige RG
I bought these tuners as a replacement for the stock ones that came with my Ibanez Prestige double-locking guitar, and they were a perfect fit. As per Kenny’s recommendation, I went with a staggered set and even the shortest posts were able to clear my guitar’s headstock. Although I’m not sure how the staggered set will work with other brands, I can confidently say that it worked with the headstock on my Ibanez Prestige RG guitar. If you have any concerns about the post height working with your headstock, the staff at Philadelphia Luthier Tools are very helpful.
