Designed to be used with our modern trimmed baseplates so you can install a Filtertron to a mounting ring or through a pickguard like standard humbucker pickups. These adapter plate mount to the Filtertron using the existing pickup cover mounting holes using 3-48 screws available separately. The screws are available in nickel and gold.

Finally the right part!
I spent years thinking I would have to have a custom part made for my Filtertron situation. I originally tried to use a GFS ring and adapter but the KICKER is that the GFS Tron is metric so a real Filtertron doesn't line up on that adaptor plate (all but one screw but it won't work). I found this and the screws needed and the nice thing about this part is that it is lighter than the other adaptor(basically a steel beam) so it really does not add too much weight. I used this in an Import guitar (Samick Malibu) where upgrading pickups (Filtertron/Little 59/Quarter Pounder) and parts (brass trem block, metal Filtertron ring, upgraded electrical parts) started to add significant weight to the guitar (more than a pound from stock). If you use this part it does not add significantly more weight to the Filtertron and actually looks like it is originally part of the Filtertron once it's on there. This is my "go to" adaptor for real Filtertrons now. I would give this SIX STARS if it were an option.

A must have if you are going to convert your Blacktop filtertrons to Gretsch h.s. filtertrons. A very simple and easy conversion and it works perfectly. Highly recommended.

Perfect dimensions
All of the pre-threaded holes aligned with the holes in the Filtertrons and will also aligned with standard H-bucker pickup rings. I went with Gretsch rings which only had to be drilled for the outboard height adjustment screws. The four small vertical tabs on the adapter plates provide a bit of room under which the pickups' wires are routed. The length of the plates fit the openings in the guitar's center block just fine. The only other modification to the guitar itself was that the corners of the openings for the pickups had to be modified to accept the rectangular Gretsch base plates.
