Use this precision made aluminum sanding block for putting a radius on a fingerboard or leveling frets. Professional grade radius beams
We were in need of replacing a hodgepodge mix of wooden radius beams that had been collected/purchased over time from various places including an un-named luthier website at significantly higher cost. We use these in our high volume production shop for neck manufacturing and also for re-fret work on the repair side. We ordered 4 of the most commonly used sizes to get the 15% discount and once they were received we were so impressed with the high quality that we filled out the remainder of the available radii in the set of the 200mm blocks almost immediately. We also ordered several of our most used commonly radii in the long 520mm beams with the second order as well. The extruded aluminum blocks have more mass than traditional wooden blocks which makes long strokes efficient with very little pressure required which allows for very fine stock removal adjustments. The fact that they are aluminum also means that the blocks are impervious to environmental changes....all of the mentioned features are important to our high volume production shop and the cost at discount on these is unbeatable.

Excellent, well made product
These nicely machined aluminum radius sanding beams are just the ticket to fine tune and get things consistent on newly made fret boards or when touching up instruments. I'm glad I bought one and will likely end up with additional units in other radiuses over time.

Just what the Dr. Ordered.
I bought a 78 fretless P bass that had grooves warn in the fingerboard from what appeared to be due to the use of round wound strings. It became unplayable. I ordered this fine 7.25 radius block and some sandpaper and then gently sanded the fingerboard with this block. Now it plays better than new.

Can't be beat at this price!
I bought the 7.9" beam with a 15" radius for a Taylor re-fret. The machining here is perfect. I can't fault this product in any way. I don't have the competitor's version, but for the difference in price, I'm not going there, as I'm quite satisfied with this! Highly recommended; if you want/need some radiuses sanding beams, buy them here and save a pile of $$$ !
