Uses standard 2 3/4" PSA longboard sandpaper rolls.

    1. Value and Quality 5 Star Review

Posted by on May 17, 2018

These sanding beams are excellent. They are machined carefully, flat and at a length that make radiusing fretboards easy and fast. Beside this they are an excellent value as compared to what other companies offer. I own 4 different sizes of them.

    2. love this tool 5 Star Review

Little bit of a learning curve to use this. If you have the neck on the bench and put the beam on top you cant tell if the beam is perfectly centered.Look at the sandpaper, if you have dust on one side at one end and dust on the other side at the opposite end, the beam is not centered. I used double sided tape and fastened the beam to the bench, then I could see that neck was staying centered. I plane fingerboards and level frets with the same tool and get consistent results. Covers the entire fingerboard, no worries about sanding to much in the middle and not enough on the ends.

    3. I did my first leveling using this radius beam on my Telecasters 5 Star Review

Posted by on Feb 7, 2018

I researched the different ways to fret level from and I decided on using radius beams to get the absolute best outcome and I DID get an excellent result. I ordered the 7.25 and 10 inch from PLS last week to finish off my Les pauls and older strats and teles. I have been using the adhesive abrasives from PLS and very happy . The leveling of a nearly new tele also illustrated the need to go over brand new off the shelf guitars -- they can use a fret level and recrown---the resulting set ups are awesome very pleased.

    4. speed and accuracy 5 Star Review

Posted by on Sep 2, 2017

The first job I used this on was to erase a compound radius from a Warmoth strat neck and go back with a uniform 7 1/4 radius. This block made the whole process very fast and very accurate. The rosewood surface was done in 3 minutes, including changing the grits. The tops of the frets took no more than 4 minutes. This thing paid for itself and then some the first time I used it.

    5. Great tool! 5 Star Review

Great tool at a good price, especially when compared to others on the market!

    6. Very nicely made radiused beam 5 Star Review

Posted by on Jul 28, 2017

When I got this, I checked it on my machinist's granite, a very flat, smooth surface. I was concerned that the beam might be warped. But it fact, it seemed to be about perfect. Great tool, great price.

    7. So much more affordable than the competition and just as good, if not better! 5 Star Review

Posted by on Jul 24, 2017

I wont bother with the names but this thing is so reasonably priced to its competition and works just as well! Ill be doing more business with PLT, thats for sure!

    8. Takes fret levels to new levels 5 Star Review

Posted by on Jun 7, 2017

I have used 8" sanding blocks and 18" beams. It goes without saying that a beam is far superior for a full fret level, but the extra 2.5" on this beam made it that much better.

The quality and finish on this product is perfect. After getting my first 2, I bought 2 more sizes

    9. Great Quality/Half the Price 5 Star Review

Posted by on May 13, 2017

I have the 9.5 and the 12 radius blocks. As others have said, these are well built at half the price of competitor blocks. I'm no engineer, but it looks like the only difference between this block and the higher priced version is the name stamp.
