Use this precision made aluminum sanding block for putting a radius on a fingerboard or leveling frets.  With its heavy weight, extra thick external walls and double internal support, you can be confident that the radius and straightness will stay accurate for years to come.  Not effected by moisture or temperature like wooded radius sanding beams.

Uses standard 2 3/4" PSA longboard sandpaper rolls.

    Awesome

when i got my 15 inch aluminum sanding beam i checked the radius and it was a perfect 15 inch radius, then I got out my starrett straight edge and a half a thousand feeler gauge and couldn't slip it under the straight edge any where on the beam , needless to say I was extremely happy , then I got very sad and felt like I got ripped off cause I remembered that I paid about twice as much for the other sanding beam i got from stew mac and it's 2 1/2 INCH longer than theirs , and come to think of it Philadelphias rhynostick abrasive sandpaper is a little cheaper in price than stew mac but you get almost twice as much as stew mac and the quality is way better than there's , but i am not going to kick myself over this , but i am going to kill myself for spending my hard earned money with stew mac , i wish i knew about Philadelphia luthier tools and supplies sooner sincerely alex from spokane washington

    Excellent sanding beam

These sanding beams are longer and significantly cheaper than the comparable Beef Stew-Mac & cheese sanding beams. The quality is outstanding. I have the 7.25" 12" 14" beams and they are all excellent.

Excellent product, Excellent Quality, Affordable price

I bought this radius beam with a 14" radius. It is as it is described. Fully aluminum and the radius was precisely machined and matched my radius gauges. The length is 20.5" and the width is 70.05 mm (2.75"). The height will vary depending on the radius, the center is 30.1mm (1.18") and the edge was closer to 30.7 mm (1.21") The finish is not smooth on the radius face but it helps to maintain grip on the sandpaper. I use the 3M sticky paper and it fits just right. Packaging was great and well protected. Overall, excellent value, excellent product, I highly recommend!

One wor; great. Did one of my strat’s neck with the 20 and came out perfect. All of these are the perfect tool for this. I’ll be getting a few more of these to complete the set. The weight of the large beams is perfect to let it glide down the fretboard to set the radius. I always get great tools from PLT.
