To make sure you are ordering the correct knob for your guitar look at the underside of your knob and compare it with the one pictured. The difference would be how far the knob sits above the guitar body when installed. Many vintage Gibson guitars have knobs that sit about 1/8" to 1/4" above the body. Many new models (except Gibson Historics) have knobs that sit flush with the body.

I have to amend my previous review... I purchased a set of $35 knobs with "vintage amber" tint from a boutique parts shop, and they were EXACTLY the same as these except for the vintage tint. Same dimensions, same shape, same font, same everything except for the color! So, if you're looking for vintage-style knobs on a budget, these really can't be beat!!
As other reviewers have stated, these aren't quite the right color or shape. In person, they're more of a rose gold, whereas OEM (Gibson) knobs are a much brighter and truer gold. However, modern Gibson knobs are not embossed like vintage ones were, and the embossing on these looks 1,000x better than just the painted-on numbers on modern Gibson knobs. The shape is close enough for me, but if you're looking for vintage-correct knobs for your Historic or actual vintage Gibson, these aren't it. I figured these were worth a try for the price and I really wanted to like them, but I just can't get past the color...
These are nice knobs. They're slightly darker than Gibson's gold knobs, but the embossed numbers look so much better than painted-on numbers. If the color/shade difference doesn't bother you, then they're great value for the money. The ones I got were a bit loose on the pot shaft, but that's easily fixed.
Replaced knobs on Gibson '59 Les Paul Historic bought new in 2000. Stock knobs are amber; these knobs are more authentic looking gold and fit well.
These are the ones!! Embossed numbers, and they do not crack! Color, quality, and price is spot on! Thanks!
Perfect fit, vintage look, and they don't crack! Gibson needs to purchase their knobs from PLTS!
The knob in the photo is what I would call normal gold. What you get is now been changed to something between amber and gold. If you are doing a Les Paul historic makeover, it's not the correct knob in color and shape. It has the correct spline for American pots, but the side profile is not the same as a real vintage hat knob. The number font and size is close and they are embossed. If you are not fussy, then it's a good knob set for the price. For a set of correctly profiled knobs in the original color, you will have to spend about 8X the price.
... for my RS Guitarworks vintage harness. I'm not an expert so I don't know if the knobs are an exact OEM replica, but the color is good and the feel is great, as is the price!
Great quality, actually better than production run Gibson knobs
