Used CTS Metric pots for my Firefly 338 and they worked great and fit great with no drilling or reaming of the body. Not a big issue, but the shaft can be a bit longer than the import pots, and may need extra washers.
Finding these were a surprise to me. I wish I'd known about them before I reamed out my beautiful Jackson soloist to fit standard sized pots.
Quality is as expected from CTS, smooth and measured very close to spec on the meter. Thanks for making these available!
So I wish I knew about the metric cts pots a long time ago. I have Korean made ltd viper 400 that came with emgs. I wanted to convert to passive pickups. These fit in that guitar without any drilling. In the past I always had to drill the holes to get the pot in. These will work for an overseas made guitar.
Quality...nothing more need be said.
I measured the value of the pot and give me 465k. The neck pickup sounds so muddy.
These are supposed to be the "best" and I'm using them to replace the crap the Chinese put in the imports. Did the job. Now, about those pickups .. . ..
I purchased three of these pots for my import Hamer. I have three sets of knobs that fit import pots (coarse splines). With these pots I didn't have to get new knobs or ream out the holes for the pot shafts either. They feel very smooth and sound great!
CTS Potentiometers are very high quality & among the best you can get. The only issue prior was that CTS were for Standard USA guitars & the shaft threads were too wide for Import guitar bodies & knobs.
Now with the Metric size I can install CTS Pots on all my fine Japanese / import guitars with no modification to the body, and still use the original knobs. I always change the Pots when I change pickups so these are much needed. Great!
Works as expected and is an excellent replacement for, say, your 26 year old Ibanez's antiquated and scratchy ones.
