ABM 3024 Adjustable Wraparound Bridge, Bell Brass

Seriously. It's just perfect. Buy it and never use one of those awful 'period correct', poorly intonated wraparound bridges ever again.

Awesome piece. Tune once for the, and the guitar stays in tune all night. And being able to intonate perfectly is easy on the ears. Huge improvement over the stock compensated wraparound bridge on a LP Jr

I bought this bridge to replace the stop bar wrap around on a double cut TV Yellow Les Paul Special. Although the intonation was OK with the stop bar, I wanted the option of adjustable saddles. I settled on this product because the studs on some other models have metric threads that don’t fit the threaded inserts in the body, and I didn’t want to damage the finish replacing the inserts. The bridge is exceptionally well made – the bridge body fits snugly on the studs with no tilting. Also, because the range of adjustment of the saddles is so long, I was able to mount the bridge without using the hex nut adjusters on the bridge body, so the bridge was in complete contact with the posts. When played acoustically, the guitar sounds very good and this is transmitted through the pickups when amplified. The bridge studs have nicely rounded tops and the bridge itself is low profile – there are no issues with annoying edges or protruding screws to scrape the edge of your hand against. There is one small issue with the saddles – the machining on the parts is so good that all edges are precise, and a bit sharp. The point of contact between the string and the top of the saddle is sharp, and needed to be relaxed, because I was breaking E B & D strings, right at the contact point, after about 4 hours of playing. I used a folded piece of 7 micron metal polishing sandpaper to round off the contact point edges of the saddles (this is a slow process that took longer than anticipated, by trial and error). After making this adjustment, the strings no longer break – I shared this info with both Kenny at Philadelphia LS and Peter at ABM in Berlin and both were quite helpful in assisting with the resolution. The bottom line is that I would buy this product again without hesitation – the adjustability, function, playability and sound transference are exceptional and the product is worth every penny.

Sorry about my last review! Phila. Luthier Tool & Supply made things right, replacing the anomaly I received, and I'm thrilled. This piece is every bit the exquisite German machining and lustrous nickel plating I expected! Replaced the stock bar on my Les Paul Special, now I can adjust the intonation, and it's a pleasure. The piece is exceptional, and the service was too!

I apologize for my last review. Philadelphia LT&S stepped up and made things right! My anomaly was replaced with the real thing, and I'm impressed. This is the exeptional piece of German machining that I had in mind, with the fine, lustrous plating that was expected. Replaced the stock wraparound bar on my Les Paul Special, and made it a fine instrument that is very stable and easy to adjust intonation. Worth every penny! A shout out to my man Kenny @ Philadelphia Luthier!

While this bridge looks and fits well, 5 of the 6 saddle adjustments are somehow bound, as if cross threaded in manufacture. A bit of oil and a LOT of screw turning finally got things working. Not thrilled with that, but now it works. It might also be how rough the plating is where the saddles are meant to glide. Not thrilled, especially at the price point!

This is the finest wraparound bridge that I've found. The fit and finish is excellent and they are built like a Swiss watch, No slop in the saddle adjustment and the mounting studs fit snugly in the slots. I'm not often impressed by guitar parts, but these wraparounds are exceptional.
