Gotoh SD90
Superb tuning machines, period! Drop in perfect into my Gibs Historic. They turn smoothly and no gear lash so every minute turn on the key translates to a precise tuning adjustment. A real, tangible improvement over stock machines.

Great Tuners
Rebuilding a '61 Reissue LP (SG) and wanted to go simple and vintage looking. Gotoh is affordable, and I have never had any issues with any of their products. Key's look nice not too yellow/green, and they work nice and smoothly.

good budget tuners
installed on a Epi ES339 they are a fine budget tuner but be aware the posts are slightly shorter. they wind up not down when restringing.

Vintage looks with modern tolerances
These are very nice tuners at a great price. They feel very sturdy, the plating is nice and the overall fit and finish is very good. I do have some string slippage, but I think that is more a factor of the rest of the guitar. I would recommend the locking version in most cases, I plan to upgrade at some point. But this are still very nice and serviceable.
