Functional truss rod avoids having to cut a channel into neck.
It works, the tolerances on size are tight enough, the removable spoke wheel avoids having to cut a channel into the neck when replacing a broken truss rod. A little bit of loctite instead of glue keeps the wheel in place and can be removed later by heating with a soldering iron if needed.
