Rough cast A8 magnet.
This was my second magnet swap into a Seymour Duncan ‘59/Custom bridge (trembucker) pickup. The stock A5 was tone was too scooped for my particular guitar (resulted in being too thin sounding), and the first swap, an A4, though a significant improvement over the stock magnet, seemed a bit bland (much better mids, thickness, in tone). This AlNiCo 8 magnet now makes this bridge pickup a great match to the Jazz that resides in the neck position. I finally don’t see myself doing any more mods to this guitar (a Warmoth, semihollow, spruce on korina, Tele body with roasted maple/rosewood neck).

Rough A8 Alnico 8
Used to replace A5 magnet in a 498T. The ice pick in the ears treble is now gone from the guitar that the pickup is in. The new tone could also be described as warmer. Worth a try.

Beefing up a PAF
Was struggling to get the output I wanted from a set of PAF pickups so swapped these in. Was pretty easy. Retained the character of the pickups While beefing up the output.
