As an experiment I installed these Alnico 4 magnets in a set of GFS Fat Pat humbucking pickups. Although I always liked the tone of the brige pickup the neck pickup was very bassy. These really added a PAF sweetness and clarity that was missing before and tamed the rather bloated bass response the stock Alnico 5 had. Both positions sound fantastic, they are staying in.
