The Gotoh GE1996T is the best of the high end licensed Floyd Rose tremolo models. Made with premium components…hardened steel baseplate, specially processed steel saddles, and machined brass trem block. Saddles are nicely rounded without any sharp edges. This is a very nice unit!
The GE1996T is a direct replacement for an Original Floyd Rose unit. Some modification maybe needed when replacing other licensed Floyd Rose tremolo models. Please check measurements carefully before ordering.

Gotoh 1996t
The Gotoh 1996t is a superb piece of music equipment. Fine craftsmanship and stability, coupled with affordability, makes this tremolo likely one of the finest on the market today. I’m surprised the large guitar companies don’t use these more often on their products. as good as the original Floyd.

PRS Custom 24 OFR
I purchased the Gotoh to replace the Original Floyd Rose that came stock in my PRS Custom 24 Floyd. I was already familiar with the quality of the Gotoh as it came stock in my Suhr Modern Pro. The quality of the OFR is severely lacking in comparison to the Gotoh, in my opinion of course. The Gotoh was a drop in replacement as I left the OFR studs and claw in place. The brass block in the Gotoh actually improved the sound as well! The service from Philadelphia Luthier Tools was top notch! Best price anywhere! The shipping was free, and I received the item cross country in less than a week! Will definitely do business with again! Thanks!
