I have worked on guitars for almost 16 years and I have never had a neck screw break on any build or project I’ve ever worked on. Today one of these screws had its head twist right off, then break right in half as I removed the neck to unscrew it. They are the weakest screws I’ve ever used, I do not recommend them. I will now have major work to do on a project that should have taken a matter of a few minutes. Admin - you need to predrill the correct size pilot holes. An improperly sized hole especially when working with very hard maple necks will break the screw. Waxing the threads for a little extra insurance. Nothing wrong with the screws.
