Bobbin not large enough to make a true p90 humbucker pickup
This bobbin is pretty small all things considered. It only will take around 6,000 turns of 42awg, so not much larger than one humbucker bobbin. It would be probably best to use 43awg if you are gonna attempt this one. I had better results just making my own flatwork and making the bobbin a millimeter taller. Even easier is to just use a p90 bobbin and chop the ends off, which is easier with fiberboard than plastic. Still, the pickup sounds nice, but is more in traditional single coil territory. For all that, it’s well made, for plastic. No defects or burrs, didn’t melt during potting.
