Plastic Mounting Rings for Humbuckers Flat

Here’s an objective honest review—I put these on my Les Paul standard. In the past I bought similar rings from creamtone. Those were a more bendable plastic. To me that’s the only negative. While they do look great on my guitar it’s a hard plastic which isn’t typical on a gibsn when it’s stock. They look great and function perfectly. They came with nice screws, they don’t look like cheap Home Depot ware. I’m chasing that feeling those other rings gave me so while I do like this and WILL use them on another guitar I’ll end up replacing them. After a couple of heavy handed chords it looks a lot better since the edges aren’t so sharp. When Installing remember to not keep putting pressure on the screw after you feel it catch and screw into place. Gentle pressure will let you feel when the screw is l the way in. This is a great tip to keep you from ruining the rings.

Excellent for my Les Paul guitar project

Ordered black and light cream for use on a a pair of "no frills" bolt on flat tops with angled neck pockets similar to jazzmaster, using tune-o-matic bridges. The angle was a little steep for that so I sanded the taller edge to get them parallel to the strings. I'm not a vintage nut. Compared to current GIbson and PRS rings, these are a 1-2mm bigger all around, with slightly wider mounting hole spacing than usual, sharper corners and edges. Makes them seem a little cheaper. If you can live with that, they're a good deal for a new build. I wouldn't recommend for replacing existing unless its an import doubt it will match. You could sand them to have rounder edges but for the time it takes you might as well buy name brand at that point. Light cream is similar to Fender parchment/ aged white or PRS Ivory.
