Hosco 10pc file set
They are all flat. They have an approximately radiused edge under magnification--not quite 100% perfect radius but definitely not square-flat. I used them for a tune-o-matic bridge and they cut the slots I wanted, and were easy to controI. They didn't cut through the brass super fast, seems like they should have cut faster, but I was patient and careful with not being too aggressive and I got the results I wanted. They cut through graphite very easily. It has always puzzled me how basically feeler gauges with a burred edge can cost so much in general, but these files were the best value I've seen online so far, and I've stopped looking. I'm comparing this to my prior experience with saddle files which has been with high quality luthier files, modified hacksaw blades, using roughened guitar strings as files, and triangular "jewler" files.

Excellent quality. I don't use them often, but I'm glad I finally bought some good ones. Worth it.

Not stable or rounded
My thin ones came with a huge curve in them, and the actual files themselves have a flat bottom, which basically makes them only usable for slotting, not fine tuning. I wish I’d have known, or at least that the files were straight

Excellent tools
I have been a machinist for 35+ years, and I know a good file when I see one. These did not disappoint! I have been buying pre-slotted nuts, and adjusting them with welding tip cleaning files. With these I can finally build my own from scratch. I highly recommend this product.

Top notch product! Easily cuts bone!
I bought only 5 individual files and I'm able to cover most nut slotting jobs just by maneuvering the file. Leaves a round shaped slot, which is very smooth. EASILY cuts through bone! I've done many bone nuts now, and these babies show no sign of slowing down! I also need to mention I got these shipped to Sri Lanka. PLT customer service is so good, and I recieved the products packed very carefully, in a very short space of time! Kudos PLT!
