SINTOMS Ltd. mastered the production of the so-called ringing stainless steel frets with new extraordinary properties.
This is a new offering of Sintoms' popular ringing stainless steel. They say this new hardened ringing stainless steel is an eternal (last forever) fretwire but is still workable by standard fretting tools. Hardened ringing stainless steel has a hardness of 42-45 HRC compared to 23-25 HRC of regular stainless steel fretwire.
In addition to basic distinctive qualities such as increased durability, the frets made of new stainless steel have improved sound qualities. They give musical instruments a smooth and natural sound and increase the sustain of an instrument.

HARDENED for sure!
If you are looking for the absolute toughest frets I've ever worked on, these are they. I didn't want to take off a star for the rating because they are exactly as advertised. But I just feel like I should mention that I struggled with them. They stressed out my fret bender, I broke a set of fret cutters and struggled with every single cut once I replaced them. They leveled out fine, but shaping the ends was a chore. These are incredibly tough material. I've been using stainless my entire career and it's been tougher than nickel for sure, but this was a new level of tough. Personally, I think their standard or ringing frets are plenty good, but if you need something that is on par with mithril or some other magical metal from LOTR, then this is what you want.

Great frets
I am happy with these frets. All the measurements are as specified. They are still workable with regular tools. They took a bit longer to file than the Chinese stainless steel fretwire I bought from aliexpress and they do feel harder, although this is purely subjective.
