This is a great way to revoice a pickup. With a little research I found my pickups were Alnico 4. I like the output and feel but I was having issues with the eq. I play rock, and these are better at jazz. So I put the A5s in there and changed the eq from a mid hump to flat. They sound great, and the swap saved me a couple hundred bucks.

great quality product. Even marked (on the south side). I threw away original magnets from my son's Epi pickups and replaced them with these. They scream. Mind you I replaced pretty much everything else as well
