    1. Don't fight it! Get this locking stud! 5 Star Review

Posted by on Apr 22, 2018

My 1985 Ibanez AM70 has had a tilted wrap tailpiece-bridge forever.

Some days it played nice. Many days, it fought me. Intonation, 4th string wear, sustain, action, etc. I saw a recommendation on the intranet and thought I'd give it a shot.

Money well spent! Clamped that bridge down, stabilizing the action and intonation. Sustain increased and more even from string to string. Tone is wonderful.

As others have noted, the main studs are tight when you first put them in and not wiggly like most originals. I like this a lot and suggest you not be turned off by this. I did not have any problem with the depth bottoming out, as the other review did.

So if you suffer from 'tilt' - suffer no more!

    2. Great for wraparound tailpiece lean 5 Star Review

Posted by on Feb 5, 2018

I purchased these for a wraparound tailpiece guitar to eliminate the lean forward from string tension. They work great, much easier to use than a competing product that requires using a wrench. I'll use these again for any wraparound tailpiece.

    3. They work in an Epi Les Paul 4 Star Review

Posted by on Aug 30, 2016

Great price, look good, and these are the right thread for a '94 Samick-manufactured Epiphone Les Paul. But the studs are about a 16th of an inch too long to sit flush on the stock bushings. Not sure if this is by design (contrary to other stoptail studs I've used), but it does put the stud in direct contact with wood, which is probably not a terrible thing. Just go slow when installing them and stop if you start to feel resistance or you'll start pulling the bushings up. Thumb tight and then maybe a quarter turn with the Allen wrench ought to do.
