Fret End Dressing Files usually have two flat sides to apply on the fingerboard without damaging it. And two sides with teeth to work the fret ends. But then you need some skill to work on the rounded top of the fret ends. This Hosco file is much better. One flat side is replaced by a concave file. The two straight and teethed sides work nicely on the two sides of the fret ends. And the concave side works nicely on the rounded top of the fret ends. So you don’t need any special craftsmanship to soften the fret ends. Anyone can do it. The grit of the three working sides is fine enough and adequate to file the fret ends.
