    Bad batch?

Posted by carson on May 5, 2022

I ordered 4 of these, received them with one with a solder point broken off. PLT replaced the broken one for no charge (thanks!) but the replacement's shaft fell out while soldering. Ordered another one, and when all was said and done and everything was in the guitar, the pots sounded terrible! Volume knobs had an effective range of 10-8, with everything under being dead silent. The tone knobs sound always rolled off, turning the knob only changing the sound trivially. I'm used to CTS pots being top of the line with a great taper, but these just didn't work how they should.

Must have for 3-pot P Bass!

Posted by Jerry on Mar 25, 2020

I'm new to wiring work and discovered this when wiring a two-pickup P bass (made by the late, great Mike Lull). It fits like a charm in that end slot where the pick guard (and cavity) tapers. Really, it's a CTS pot, so all good, right? My bigges compliment goes to PLT. Great vendor - easy to buy, great communication, super fast shipping. Thank you!

    Fantastic Pots

I love the mini CTS pots. They are smooth and well built. I've put them in many guitars with no issues. Most recently, in a telecaster inspired build, and if you know teles, you know that working the controls is part and parcel of the instrument. These work incredibly well.

    Shaft Pulled Out

Posted by Unknown on May 2, 2018

Bought a few of these mini pots to try out. All was good until I went to reposition the knob and the entire shaft came out. Lined it up and put it back in. Still works great, just disappointed in the build quality. Would have worked really well in a guitar that doesn’t have control cavities (Semi hollow), just don’t try to remove the knob. Have ordered full sized pots to replace them.
