Pinnacle Machined Bell Brass Nashville TOM guitar bridge for Gibson Les Paul, SG

I picked up this bridge and the matching tailpiece to upgrade a used 2013 LP traditional that had a tonepros roller bridge on it from the previous owner. This was a drop in replacement although I did end up removing the inserts that were in it and using the provided ones that came with this for piece of mind. Perfect non wobbly fit either way. I am a big fan of brass parts and this really delivers on that front. It has a very big wide spectrum sound. Its very solid and feels great under palm. Very high quality machined parts. The only thing negative to say is I dont love the allen adjust saddles. I managed to strip one out while intonating and I was not being particularly careless. They really would be better just using a flathead style at the end. Also, I tune a half step down and into drop tunings sometimes, I use an appropriate light top heavy bottom set for this, and I have some of the saddles at the end of their adjustment range. So if your downtuning any more than this on a 24.75 scale I might recommend the hipshot tone-a-matic which looks like a quality piece but i have not personally used. Also worth noting that while I wish this just shipped with a couple extra allen adjust screws for the saddles, I reached out to PLT and they sent me a new one immediately. So customer service is top notch from these guys.

This Bridge makes all the difference in the world when trying to tame the Gibson Tribute Bridge ailments . .The stock Bridge was like 27 grams and cast from ????? it led to odd overtones and thin sounding chordings . . IMMEDIATELY you will notice that there is much more resonance , even string projection and sustain . The guitar sounds much more like a Gibson Les Paul now with warmer more rounded highs , punchier mids and less boomy low frequencies . . . THIS IS A MUST HAVE UPGRADE . . . Thanx PLTS

I thought from reviews it might add noticeably more mids, and perhaps be too warm or muddy. My Faber Tonelock ABR with brass saddles shaves off too much high end and low end and thus ends up being all mids in a bad way (I'd go with the titanium saddles if I could do it over). This bell brass bridge from Pinnacle just rings out louder, and clearer (like the proverbial bell) than a typical zamac or aluminum Nashville bridge while shaving off any harsh/brittle highs. It still maintains bite on the plain strings and clarity on the wounds. I put it on a particularly bright and lean sounding Les Paul Trad (which has had many, many, bridges, tp, stud, etc, swaps) and it really did help give the guitar some more volume, sustain, and (most importantly) liveliness without killing off any clarity. It's staying on.

top notch build quality, much heavier than the aluminum piece it replaced. saddles are high quality pieces as well. worth every penny. good upgrade from aluminum or zinc equivalent. easy to adjust with allen wrench. I prefer this method of adjustment to the thumb wheels alone. PLTS is the place to go for parts. 'Nuff said.

For the same money you can get mystery meat (in this case metal) bridges. Tone Pros? Zinc alloy. Gotoh? Pot metal... This a sure fire fit for your Explorer, basically any gibson that has the 'Nashville' bridge. Mine dropped right in, and after I finished filing the saddles (the notches are just to help with string spacing. You gotta set up your stuff, no matter how nice your parts are they arent going to come set up out of the box.) it rings like a bell.

Definitely heavier than the gibson zinc style.im not a fan of hex adjustment screws..they strip too easily. I wanted to change the tone of my les paul to have more solid lower mids but this piece accentuated upper mids with a different tone that the lp and i did not really care for. Otherwise it had a great build quality...its seems that the tone is all in the the neck and body wood...

I tried a few other bridges before installing this one on a 2018 Les Paul Standard, (Gibson Zamak, TonePros Zamak, TonePros Aluminum), but this brass bridge is far superior in terms of acoustic sound and build quality. Paired with a zamak locking tailpiece, this guitar has a beautiful, full sound with sweet overtones and definition in the midrange. It weighs a tiny bit more than the others I mentioned, especially aluminum. One other thing to mention is that you adjust the bridge height with an allen wrench instead of the thumbwheel. It's a much more comfortable way to fine tune adjustments- every Nashville bridge should have this feature.

I replaced the stock bridge on a 2010 Gibson SG with this one. The guitar was a bit thin sounding and trying different pickups was marginally helpful. This bridge brought the guitar to life. First, it fattened up the tone, adding much needed lows and lower-mids without dampening the highs in any way, It gave the guitar a better balance from top to bottom. Secondly, there is a noticeable increase in volume and vibration felt while playing acoustically. I can now feel the guitar resonating against my body and feel it through the neck, as well. There is also more sustain at all volume levels and more (usable) feedback at gigging levels. A bit expensive but, in my case, worth every penny.

Replaced the bridges on three of my Gibson Les Pauls with this Brass bridge - what an upgrade! Two of the LPs came with aluminum bridges, which made the guitars sound thin, and lacking lower mids. These bridges fixed that and then some. Now they sound like proper LPs. They're also very well made and look great! I couldn't be happier...
